Welcome to FinQuest. FinQuest is developed and operated by FinQuest Games Ltd ("FinQuest," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using FinQuest, whether as a student or a teacher, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you are a student under 18, you should only use FinQuest with the permission of your teacher, and your school or teacher is responsible for authorizing your use of FinQuest in the classroom.
1. Who Can Use FinQuest
FinQuest is designed for classroom use, primarily by students in Year 7 and Year 8. Teachers create classes and share a join code with their students, who then create a student account to join that class and play.
2. Accounts & Information We Collect
- Teacher accounts require an email address and password, used only to log in and to manage your classes and students.
- Student accounts only require a username, a display name, and a password chosen at sign-up. We do not require or collect a student's email address, and student accounts exist only to join and be identified within your teacher's class.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text. All passwords are securely handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us or to teachers.
- Game progress (such as in-game cash, happiness, education level, portfolio value, and achievements) is stored so the game and your teacher's class dashboard can work correctly.
3. How We Use Your Information
Information collected through FinQuest is used only to operate the game: authenticating accounts, tracking class membership, displaying progress and leaderboards to teachers, and improving FinQuest. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student data for advertising.
4. Intellectual Property
FinQuest, including its name, logo, artwork, game mechanics, source code, and all other associated content, is the property of FinQuest Games Ltd and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from FinQuest without our prior written permission.
5. Acceptable Use
- Use FinQuest only for its intended educational purpose.
- Do not attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer FinQuest.
- Do not share your account, password, or class join code with anyone outside your class.
- Be respectful of teachers and other students while using FinQuest.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
FinQuest is provided "as is," as an educational tool, without warranties of any kind. FinQuest is a game and is not intended to constitute financial, legal, or investment advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinQuest Games Ltd is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of FinQuest.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of FinQuest after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
